Post-jam patch notes (v0.1.1)


Post-jam patch! A lot of feedback was received about overall difficulty and various other matters, so hopefully this should address those issues somewhat. Not sure how much more I will tinker with this, but I'm glad to know the backend was structured well enough that dipping in to implement this wasn't as difficult as I was fearing.

Additions:

  • Added checkpoints before each room 
  • Added respawning
  • Added new weapon: shotgun

Adjustments and Bugfixes

  • Prevented player from accumulating damage from multiple sources in a single frame (unlike enemies)
  • Added aim buffering out of player melee attack state
  • Added additional impact feedback if when player takes a hit
  • Reduced shot spread for normal shots and HMG shots
  • Enemies now drop small weapon containers at the end of every wave
  • Slight adjustments to tutorial text
  • Hopefully fixed getting stuck in Mahou Shoujo time until overridden by another timeslow effect

Known bugs

  • Sometimes the second-to-last enemy in a wave will also drop an item. I'm not sure why, but it's beneficial to the player, so whatever.
